A great boot and still going strong....

The 'foamy' sole became a little smooth after 18 months, but hey, that's A LONG time and I wear them pretty much daily on concrete, rocky train ballasts, dusty dirt roads, and through knee-high weeds. From day one, they are comfortable, just like others have said. The uppers are still in great shape so after a Vibram re-sole - they are back for plenty more work. The quality of the leather in the uppers is awesome - like a baseball glove! A little mink oil gets 'em looking great. I too get a yearly allowance on work boots and after doing research, came back to these before realizing they are THE EXACT boot I'm using. These can get a little soggy inside after a quarter-mile through wet weeds, so I'm going to try another pair with moisture-resistance or waterproofing - regardless of that, I can always come back to these because they're one of the best work boots I've worn. I'll be picking up another pair on the next rotation (these could last 2 years with a resole, no problem). Five Stars.

First off these Carolina 1309 boots were made in the USA so I had to buy them and honestly they have everything I look for in a great pair of work boots. They are not only lightweight and flexible,but they are also shock absorbing and abrasion resistant. Which makes them the BEST pair out there.

Wow made in the USA...

Wow made in the USA. I bought these Carolina 1309 boots from workingperson.com and they are perfect for me. I am an electrician and I am on my feet all day and crawling through a lot of tight spaces. I am very impressed with these boots. They are a must buy.

This is the best work boot I've ever...

This is the best work boot I've ever owned. I've had lots of brands and I like these better than any Red Wing, Wolverine or Georga boots or every other brand I've tried. These boots are very comfortable and they last a long time. My employer offers replacement for work boots every year. I've still got my origional pair, 18 months later.

Great boots and USA made!! Comfortable from the first day. I work in the railroad industry and do alot of crawling in rocks/gravel and on concrete so I am very hard on boots. I also do alot of welding and cutting of steel so the boots see lots of hot steel. They stand up to the abuse very well. I WILL buy another pair of these Carolina 1309's when I finish beating the life out of the 1309's I have now.

the best all day foot wear ever...

For many years I could not find narrow sizes in size 12, still not many brands offer narrow shoes that are made to American foot sizes. I am on my feet for 12 or more hours every day and have flat feet and need custom made orthotic inserts. These Carolina boots with my custom made supports make the day possible. They offer great support and even though they are a little heavy the posture support and firm structure and safety make walking on concrete all day them better than bare foot. Surprisingly they needed no break in, I wore the work boots from day one just like they had been custom made. I will be ordering a second pair of these Carolina's so they can be alternated on my shoe stretchers for a thorough dry out every day.
