Nothing but the best...
By: Bob
I L-O-V-E these boots. I am buyiny my fourth pair. I wear these all day at work then if going out at night, just switch to my "dress" pair. The 3rd pair is just now being broken out of the box after being bought last year. That's because the first two pair are still going strong.
Here's one little quirk of mine about the boots. If you look, they have a good size spur ledge on the heels. Not being a spur wearer, I don't like the look. So, I took a belt sander and a leather skiv and got rid of the ledge by tapering the heels so they are just normal cowboy heels. That was on the first two pairs. Then I found an excellent shoe repairman, showed him what I had done and asked if he could reshape the heels. I gave him the newest pair and $10 later I had the perfect boot, comfortable enough to wear all day, sturdy as all get out and with the reshaped heel, pleasing to my eye. I am buying another pair to put in my closet in the event they stop making this model.
Just use a good conditioner (sno-pruff or mink oil) and do not polish with a "wax" polish. Meltonian Shoe Cream is your best choice for a polish because these are oil tanned so wax not only clogs the pores but does not nourish the leather. Mink Oil / Meltonian Shoe Cream will keep the leather from drying out and cracking for as long as you own these boots. Wear in good health.

A few years later...
By: Mike .. Again
Now that it has been a few years, I figured I would add 2 more cents. I have worn these boots every other day for 2 years now, and they are still holding up well. I have had the heels redone at the local shoe fix it place for 10$ and care for them with a natural beeswax product called Sno-Seal. They still look and feel great after a few thousand miles. Very happy with this purchase.

I purchased these boots to because because they were made here in the USA. As an American, I try to support American companies and products, even if i costs a couple extra bucks. What I received was a pair of functional, rugged, and good looking boots. They took some breaking in, as any good pair of boots do, but after about a month, they may be the most comfortable pair of boots I own. (I also have Bates, Altima, and Rocky products) The soles hardly look like have a mile on them, after atleast 200, and my feet have never been wet in them. Worth every penny of the 179$, and would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend. they seem to run a little more narrow than a traditional work/combat boot due to the toe shape. All in all a great boot.

Toughest pair of boots I have ever owned....
By: Tim Bellings
I have worn this same pair of Double H DH9635 work boots almost everyday for 4 years and have absolutely abused them and they took it. I replaced the heels three times, put oil on them once and worked them hard in heat and rain and they kept my feet dry and ankles supported. I am heading out to buy another pair just as soon as I type this up. I would recommend this boot to anyone needing a hard working and stylish boot that wears like iron. After four years the soles still have 90% wear left, I just wore off the leather upper.
