Beware of these pants because they shrink! I ordered a 38/34 and when I got them and tried them on I thought what a great pant but after several washings and drying they are now too short and are feeling tight in the thighs.

These are the lightest weight carpenter pant that...

These are the lightest weight carpenter pant that is actually made to work in. I work in a hot humid climate and these are perfect. The fit is a little different than the traditional carhartt jeans but they feel good. The only thing I wish carhartt would do is add a leather patch on the right pocket for a tape measure. Riggs does this and it will save your pocket from wearing out.

Best Pants for Hot weather...

I'm an electrician in Southern California so a lightweight pant for the summer is a must. These Charhartt pants are very comfortable and lightweight but still durable to last. The only knock I have on them is that you need to careful around sharp objects like metal studs because if you get caught just right they will tear.
