keeps head cool...

When I go camping out in the west coast deserts, wearing a hat can be a complete necessity to avoid too much sun exposure. The Ergodyne 6700 cooling tie bandana makes the somtimes intolerable task of wearing a hat all day long a bit more tolerable.
I usually don't soak it in water as long as it recommends (two to five minutes), but it still seems to activate the chemical inside the fabric which keeps it cooler for a few minutes longer than a normal soaked bandana would. Also wearing a hat above it will keep the sunshine directly off of it and keep it cooler longer as well.
