Comfortable and have lasted me a year of 50 hour work weeks....

I am a supervisor at a steel company. There are guys, in my department, that work in three different buildings. In other words, I walk a lot. This is the first pair that has lasted a year. I am getting ready to replace them because I have worn the inside linings as well as the soles.
I would absolutely recommend these, especially for the price. I never had any problems.

Comfortable AND durable!...

I work in warehousing as a supervisor, so I do a lot of walking. I bought these shoes because of the safety the alloy toe provides and because of how light they were (less weight = less fatigue from walking at the end of the day.) I also liked them because I prefer shoes that don't have a high top on them. They really haven't disappointed me in any way. I'm naturally very tough on my shoes - they typically last me anywhere from 6 months to a year - so when the N1317s held up against my rigid workplace for 11 months I was very pleased! Finally a hole opened on the outsides of both shoes where the sole meets the side of the shoe, and I needed some more. The laces held up well and didn't break (mine usually do), and the inside heel plate of the shoe stayed pretty much intact even through those times when I tried to 'slip them on' without untying them. I'm buying the same pair again, and I would reccommend these shoes to anybody who seeks lightweight, comfortable, durable work shoes.

The shoes are comfortable but do not hold...

The shoes are comfortable but do not hold up very well. The seams & stiches break and come apart after 2 months. Thought these would be better than the Timberlands (wrong). I'm going back to Timberlands and not trying anything else again.
