Twenty-five dollars is the perfect amount for these brownie cards for my work associates / regular subcontractors. Call it what you will. Scoring brownie points. Relationship hacking. Social engineering. But it works. Once a year just before Christmas, I pick up four or five of these gifts cards, and give them out to my regular HVAC guy, my electrician, my painter, etc. Of course, you would just outwardly call it a Christmas favor or a holiday bonus. But in reality, it's a sort of risk management to ensure that the guys working for you are more likely to spend that extra fifteen minutes making the wires neat, and that no corners are cut when you step away from the job site. Great way to tell your guys you appreciate their hard work.
