I bought my first pair of these Bates 2320's at the BX at Edwards AFB. Price there over two years ago was close to what these are going for here. I'm a flightcrew member and I wear them every day, at least five days a week. Some of the stitching is now coming apart in the sides and at the front where the lacing leather connects to the toe leather but it looks like it can be easily fixed. The soles show no wear or cracking at all. They often pass through spilled hydraulic fluid and jet fuel with no damage.
I don't want to be without these boots while I get 'em fixed so I'm going to buy another pair. They feel good, lightweight but sturdy. They are warm in winter and not really hot in the summer.
I wear 9W in other military boots but these were just right with 9M.

Comfortable, tough, and stylish. These are some of the best boots I've ever worn. They are sized large (Their size 8 is most other companies' size 9) and come in extra-wide widths that are essential for my broad feet. The Bates 2320 required minimal break-in time, but ended up lasting me more than two years before the worn down out-sole began to separate from the rest of the boot. The insulation was good enough to protect from freezing temperatures down to 30 or so degrees fahrenheit. Any colder and the insulation won't be able to hold back the bitter cold.

The boots provide great ankle support, and have protected very well from heavy objects, heat, damp, etc. Overall, they are incredibly comfortable and take no time to break in.

Much more comfortable than other safety boots I've had. On and Off is something to brag about to my coworkers. Seemed a bit oversized at first, but still quite the comfortable work boot.
