Longterm Update...
By: Simon
I wrote the two earlier reviews on these boots and this is the final, longterm update. I have now retired these boot to be ued only for yardwork. The leather on the boot has held up very well, having taken a lot of abuse. However, the chemically bonded sole had now started to come apart. I did get several years of wear out of these boots, but it's unfortunate that the sole is coming apart while the rest of the boot is still in pretty decent shape. I do have another pair of Timberland Pro boots that are much newer, the Helix, with the fatigue-reducing foam on the inside, and these are also chemically bonded soles, so time will tell how they hold up, but overall, nothing has held up as well as my Corcoran combat boots, what some people call "jump boots," and they have welted soles, which means they can be resoled if need be, though they don't need it yet. The Vibram soles are incredibly long wearing and provide good support, especially with the steel shanks. While I do not think I wasted my money on these boots, because they were comfortable at work for several years, I do hope Timberland comes up with a way to make the soles last longer, without coming apart. Til then, I think I will stick to work boots that have welted soles, like the Corcorans.

I've worn Timberlands for years. I love the titan line, The only gripe I have is a crack in the sole right the ball of my foot which develops after about 6 to 8 months use. I usually discover it when I step in water(half inch deep). A call to Timberland, ship them back and they usually send a fresh pair. 8 months later..... does'nt stop me from buying another pair. No other work boot compares

I have been through 2 pairs of these boots (the steel toe version) and I swear they are the only steel toe boot that makes me feel like I'm not wearing steel toe at all. I deliver for FedEx so I'm in boots about 8 to 1 hr's a day and these boots take care of my feet. Currently my favorite boot. Beat out Durashocks for comfort but durability too.

good boot for bad feet...
By: Simon
I called Working Person's customer service to ask for recommendations. I walk on concrete floors all day, ride a motorcycle to work every day, have flat feet and suffer from plantar fascistic. They suggested these. I have now worn them for several years, to work, while riding, and doing yardwork. The only boots that have worked for me as well as these have been my Corcoran jump boots, and those have steel shanks and are heavier, with vibram soles. When I got these, I did not think they would do the job. Surprisingly, they have worked out very well. Great on the Harley, comfortable for long shifts at work, and they take a lot of abuse. The only thing I'm not nuts about is the finish of the leather, I would prefer something that takes a polish, but that is nit-picking. I'll be buying Timberland again, whenever these wear out.

Bought a pair of these from Working Person on their recommendation, something I could wear at work on a concrete floor and on my Harley. The only thing that would make these better would be steel shanks. Otherwise, a nice boot that holds up well and is very comfortable. I got the non-steel toe version.

These were a great buy, and are a pretty good work shoe. Not sure while they qualify as a boot, but they sure do wear like a shoe. They are very comfortable too.

Best work boot I've ever worn. Light weight, and very comfortable. I seriously would rather wear these than my most comfortable tennis shoes. I hiked 23 miles in these shoes and my feet didn't hurt at all. Highly recomended.
