I've been in the military for over 20 years and have been in boots for most of that time. I ran across these socks by chance a couple of years ago and found them to be all around great socks. These are excellent boot socks. Great for use whether you're in a cold environment or not. These socks have a lot of cushion, great for high impact use. The wool allows them to breathe and be warm without being itchy, thanks to the soft inner liner sock. I have had a pair of these which I wear all winter on a daily basis w/ my boots and have yet to wear a hole in them. These are by far the best socks I have ever worn, worth every dollar!

Mom said always buy the best you can afford. I don't know if there are socks more expensive than these, but they are so worth the price even if it stretches the budget a bit. It's worth having comfortable feet and these do the job.
