Comfortable and durable...

I work outdoors everyday in all kinds of weather and these boots hold up to anything. Keeping them oiled up with Neatsfeet oil adds to their durability and water resistance. Chippewa will also direct you to an American company that will resole your boots for a decent price when the time comes which will add years to the life of your boots and save you money.

solid and comfortable....

I bought these Chippewa boots on accident thinking I was buying the 6" version of the boots. I often wear slim fitting jeans and I have to be careful which boots I buy, as some of the more insulated boots will not fit underneath the leg opening of my pants.
These Chippewa 8" boots fit JUST like my 6" of the same model, wiith the exception of their height. The upper leather and leather tongue is very soft. It feels like it's already been broken in, so there is never an uncomfortable period while wearing them.
I did return them for the 6" pair, but only because I didn't need taller boots. Still would highly recommend these for anyone looking for a pair of 8" boots.

The perfect boot...

I have owned these boots for about 8 months. After many disappointing pairs of Chinese made junk boots, I have settled on U.S. made Chippewa boots and will definitely purchase them again. These boots are perfect. From day one they felt broken in and comfortable; no blisters. The sizing is spot on accurate. The soles seem to be wearing very well and provide good traction even on a shingled roof. Leather is holding up perfectly. I keep my boots cleaned and oiled and they maintain a certain degree of water resistance.
