Good while they lasted....
By: Paul Michaud
With 24 years as a maintainer I have gone through my share of boots. I was over joyed when I found these boots. After one year of wear not so much any more. The boots out of the box are stiff and required about a month to break in. During this period I found that they leak like a sive through the stiching. I applied a coat of snow seal to all the stiches and leather parts of the boots. Problem solved. After break in the boots are like slippers. The rubberized toe and heal box are an excellent feature. The soles were very grippy and good on concrete. The laces are durable but the boots do not have to speed laces so lace up is an operation. These are the first pair of boots that keep my feet comfortable and sweat free after a day on the line. Now after a year the soles are slick. The leather areas are worn and turning black. The sole at the toe is now oozing a red material and it gets worse when they get wet. The vents on the instep are now falling apart and can be a FOD hazard. Good ideas but poor quality.
