Army style, hard work durability...

Army boots have always had that sort of vibe that suggests power and ability underlying nonchalance. I love that these Bates mens Durashock desert boots have that desert/combat boot vibe, but are durable (steel toe) enough to stand up to a beating, unlike some of the army boot clones that you might find at department stores. High ankle lacing keeps your ankle stable when you need it, and the shoes are actually pretty comfortable, for being so tight (they're sort of narrow). The light color scuffs easily, but hey they aren't dress shoes. Would recommend.
