Comfortable out of the box...

I have used Hi-Tec hiking boots for, maybe, 20 years. My first pair was a model similar to the Altitude but with slick leather. After about 10 years, when my old pair wore out, I was unable to find the same model in the US - did find them in England but at an extremely high price. Finally found the Altitude and decided to try them. Again, they were comfortable right out of the box and have remained so. I have been wearing one pair for about five years now and they are still - actually even more - comfortable. This time though, I bought some extras and stashed them - grin.

Great boots...

I am on my second pair and would buy another pair in a heart beat. I have done extensive hiking and have never had hotspots or blisters with them. They have held up great!

Boot was reasonably comfortable for my wide foot....

Boot was reasonably comfortable for my wide foot. Have had them for two years. The outside has held up, but the inside has completely worn out at the heel. I wear them almost daily. Being a very frugal person, I would like to have had them hold up longer.

I am 290lb plus person. I am on my third pair,over a period of four years. I have wore them in the mud , snow, and rain. Even wore them to fight woods fires , as I am a volunteer fire fighter. My feet has always been dry and comfortable. The best boot for the money going. I will order another when I ware out the ones I have now.

Comfortable right out of the box...

My original pair of Hi-Tec Altitude hiking boots just disintigrated after, what, 8 years of faithful service? That's why I was so excited when I saw the same boots still available for sale via Working Persons Store. Every day in these boots was comfort and pleasure. I have my new pair on today, breaking in, and they're already comfortable and just as pleasurable as the originals. I'm not sure I'll EVER wear another brand of hiking boot. Think I'd sooner give up hiking. So, a great boot, a great online shop, great service, couldn't recommend more highly.
