A Step Ahead...
I have a slight case of Plantar Fasciitis and the cushion these Carhartt A66 wool blend bootsocks provide have proved to be most valuable, but I must caution you if it’s not cold enough these may cause sweating and that can be just as bad if not worse. They’re a good fit and resist snagging. Smooth toe seam does wonders for the toes. I like the fact that they don’t get the pilling thing like department store brands do. I recommend these as hunting and outdoor use, not limited to hiking. Witch I refrain from doing. Should be sold in multipacks. But a step ahead of the rest.

Really nice socks!...
A few years ago I decided to upgrade my sock wardrobe and I sampled several affronts from Carhartt and Wigwam. I had no experience with either brand's socks so this was my test phase. Although I only wear these socks when the temperature dips below 40°f. They keep my feet reasonably warm and have held up very well. They are considerably thicker than a regular work sock, so you might want to consider a pair of winter boots a size larger than you'd normally wear to compensate for the extra thickness. That is what I do. I have a pair of Hi-Tech waterproof Wellington boots that I only wear with these socks when the weather gets cold and wet. My feet are always comfy and dry at the end of the day. Sometimes I even wear them in the house to keep my feet warm while watching tv.
