My pair survived a year in Afghanistan, and have been using the same pair two years later riding my motorcycle to/from work. What else could you ask for. Highly recommended.

who doesn't have these gloves...
By: Rex
Everybody should have a couple of pairs of these Carhartt gloves laying around. I know the guys I work with do. They are good for just about any kind of work. They can take pokes, cuts, and a band here and there. Just your perfect glove for work I say.

Great Gloves...
By: ami1111449
I use these for work nearly everyday. They are very tough and have held up well over the last couple months. I would recommend them to a friend and will purchase a few more pairs. I am 99% positive that the Carhartt gloves will last through the year if I am able to keep up with them.

If you do fencing or anything that requires a lot of hand work with solid grip, these gloves will suit your needs. You will not be disappointed in these gloves as I have done everything to them and they are still hole free.

Great pair of leather gloves!...
By: bsouthgatev
Just bought these to use on my ranch and for the occasional motorcycle ride. I ran several yards of fence earlier and using these I didn't have to worry about getting any cuts or snags. And I can take them on my motorcycle with me and stay warm and not have to worry about my hands getting fatigued.

Bought these Carhartt leather fencer gloves for all those tough jobs from cutting, hauling wood, pulling on chain fault or ropes, loading equipment, or any job that the hands need protection. So far they are holding up great just getting some rust and dirt on them with no holes tears or rips. They keep your hands from such harm when all the tough jobs are needed.

Terrible leather....
By: Steven Scott
I waited about a week for these gloves to come in and I wore them the next day at work where I was literally doing nothing but operating a scraper. The left ring finger had a tear in it after only 4-5 hours of use, and my left hand was on nothing but the steering wheel the whole time. Didn't handle anything sharp or heavy, but was torn. Expected better from Carhartt. my 8$ generic leather gloves from the local store are still holding together after a few months.

I purchased the X-large. my hands measure:
palm = 10 inch around and 4.5 inch from wrist to knuckle
middle finger = 4.5 length
these gloves are a Comfortable fit
the leather is not to thick or thin
the extra leather is useful and does not hinder movement

Best gloves so far...
By: GuyinWy
I've worn and destroyed a bunch of different leather gloves, but these are holding up very well. I've worn them while throwing and stacking nearly 1,000 square hay bales in the snow, the gloves end up soaking wet which is usually the end of the road for leather gloves. Not these. They don't fall apart, don't get soft, and I don't end up with tiny slivers of hay stuck in my fingers. I'm super happy with them, and plan to pickup a couple of more pairs so I can let the wet ones dry out in the truck while still working.

A little tight...
By: MtnMan
These glovers are a little tight and stiff. I bought them for heavy duty use in landscaping (digging, planting, tree felling, hardscape patios and rock work). They were pretty uncomfortable and caused chafing in some spots on my knuckles. The reinforced pads stitching on the thumb busted and left me with a leather flap.

Good, but my fingers do not fit....
By: outsidelinebacker20
So, I just bought these and used them. As I have not had them very long, I can not say how they will hold up. I can say that I had to wash them and they did not shrink. The only thing I can say against them is that the finger lengths do not fit my hand. I have an extra large. Index, middle and ring finger are too short. The thumb and little finger are way too long. Maybe my hand is not normal. I have had other gloves fit similarly, just not this bad. I do like the natural curve of the glove so you do not have to exert effort to keep your hand open at the thumb.
