Buy this..NOW...
By: Masteroverlord
One of the best investments I've made (better than my college degree that I'll have to pay back for the next 20 yrs). I was worried what another reviewer said about the length not being correctly adjusted for the position of the knee pads for the shorter sizes. Fortunately, this was not the case for me. I wear a 30x28 and the knee pads are placed perfectly for me. When you kneel down they move to the exact spot they need to be, over the knees. These Blaklader Pants were a little stiff at first but after a few washes they are comfortable. The extra pockets are godsend and more intelligently placed so tools don't dig into your legs. I feel like I could take a hacksaw to my pants and not feel a thing - I don't recommend you try this though, but they really feel indestructible.

Oh and their return service is awesome. I order a 32x30 since I normally wear 31x30 but they were way too big, they run a little large btw. It was ridiculously easy, I printed out the ups label, returned the pants and got my new size with no pain, no bs, and no questions asked. It's so weird to deal with a good company I'm not entirely sure how to react, it's just nice for once to get good service.

Get the shorter inseam....
By: The0ldMan
I ordered a pair of these for me in 40x34 and for my brother 38x32. He had to exchange his for 38x30s and they are still almost past the bottom of his boot. My boots and legs are taller so I'm able to work with the 40x34, but 32 would probably be perfect for me. I'd order a the shorter inseam just to save the hassle of the exchange process and wait time. Aside from the odd sizing, everything else is great. The knee pad pockets might be a little low. They are very durable so far. kneeling on roofs, pavement, concrete, hardwood, tile, and there's no signs of wear yet. The pockets are all useful to me as a home remodeler. I just leave them all tooled up and hang them by the hammer loop when I get home to save the time of unloading all the pockets and reloading every night and morning.

The pants are great and comfortable...
By: J Gundersen
Not much to say about them beyond they are the best work pants I have ever purchased. They will not be the only pair I own soon.

Comfortable, durable, functional. Nice hammer loop, room for tools, Loop for Tape measure. Good looks to. I do have to answer questions about them because of their good looks though. :)

5 star pants.

Greatess " Tool " I own....
By: Ronald E. Guck
I've spent 100's of hours in the Northern MN woods over a 36 year career with Timber and Land Management. During that adventure I have worn out dozens of pairs of pants hiking through thick brush, small saplings and numerous prickly bushes. The only product worthy of surviving this environment are stiff canvas material that resembles wearing cardboard. Upon review of Canvas Blend Work Pants specs, I decided to give them a try. Good move! Not only have these pants survived the elements I have exposed them too, but they have performed with the utmost in COMFORT. The numerous pockets and proper configuration have enabled me to carry the necessary gear required for a days work in the bush yet still retain the comfort. Did not find them overly stiff out of the box but more importantly have retained the toughness after numerous washing's. Even when wearing under garments on those brisk weather days, it did not hinder the flexibility of movement while performing tasks in a wilderness environment. Fit was great as ordered my normal size and experienced no variance in waist or inseam. Final note, dozens of people whom I've spent time with outdoors while wearing this garment, usually have the same question: " Where did you get those pants! "

Darn tough pants...
By: robv60
Ill preface this with saying that I returned mine because I didn't like the fit. The cut of these pants are quite baggy. I usually wear a size 30 waist and these fit me true to size in the waist. I typically buy my jeans in a size 30 length as well as I like my pants to bunch up some on my shoes-but not too much. I ordered these in a size 28 length after reading some of the other reviews. The size 28 fit like a size 30. Not that bad of a fit but the pants are a baggy cut and looked funny on me.

All that being said, these are REALLY NICE pants! The material is very heavy and tough. Triple stitched all over and rugged feeling. Again, I can not attest to the long term durability of these since I returned them but they looked built to last.

The design of these pants is very well thought out with the way the pockets allow you to squat without stabbing yourself in the leg with a tool. The tool pouch pockets are very nice. What the picture above doesn't show you is that the right side pouch pocket has an additional set of loops sewn onto it for holding various tools. I thought long and hard about altering these pants to fit slimmer in the legs but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Darn shame really because these were just wonderful pants otherwise.

The Best Pants. Ever....
By: Field Surveyor
I like to write the date on gear to see how long it lasts. I have worn out a tape measure in 2.5 months. My last pair of pants were the cotton Blaklader version. They lasted 10 months. I wore them every day. These blended Blaklader pants are on 14 months and show no signs of wearing out. A barbed wire caused hole about the size of a dime has not unraveled in over a dozen washes. People stop me and ask about these pants all the time and that is how I found out about them myself. I asked someone who was wearing a pair "what was going on with those pants?" I love the pouch pockets so much I bought a pair of the cotton pants for daily wear and CCW a .380 in one. These are my everyday pants. Literally.
