Pricey, but worth it for the comfort...

These Filson 64001 DY wool blend crew are some of the best socks I have ever worn, the only downside is the price per pair.
I have long been an avid consumer of cotton/synthetic blend socks. They are generally cheaper and more accessible for me (especially for someone who doesn't like to do laundry very often). However, on the recommendation of my friend, I went ahead and splurged on a couple of pairs of wool socks. Let me tell you, wool definitely blows cotton and synthetics out of the water. The wool in these socks dries quickly and naturally wicks moisture away from my feet, a plus in both winter and summer. Even though these are marketed toward warmer weather wear, I feel they also work for cooler climates as well.
Despite the price, I would definitely recommend these socks to anyone looking for a little more comfort and dryness for their feet.
