I have to say that this Filson work coat is great. My fleece liner fits right in to keep me extra warm. This coat is so durable and a great all purpose coat.

Was looking for a Barbour alternative and this hit the spot...

Barbour at over $400 was definitely not an option for me, so I got this Filson coat on sale instead. It was a great decision and I do not regret it at all. Similar styling, great fit if you size down, and overall does a great job of keeping you warm and dry with the wool lining. I did have some slight issues with the waterproofing wearing down after a year of wear, but I easily solved this with some thornproof wax dressing like they use on the Barbour jackets and spread it evenly with a hair dryer. With proper maintenance, this jacket will last forever! No need for a barbour when you can spend half for this.

I ordered this Filson work coat specifically...

I ordered this Filson work coat specifically for work, but once I put it on I wear it everywhere when it's cold outside. I have a hard time taking it off. The wool lining in the pockets is amazing.

Do know that this is not your ordinary coat--this is made to last, keep you warm and dry. It's not your Sunday go meet'n coat, but you can't beat it for the best hunting/fishing coat you will ever have.
