By: Mike Drelich
I have purchased the same jean for the past 10 years and never had a problem except for the normal wear and tear one expects in the construction industry. The last two pairs I purchased however developed small holes around the back pockets which I thought was a result of carrying my hand tools on the job. Well the holes got bigger and a large tear finally developed down my backside.

By: Greg Los
These jeans are garbage,im on my second pair in less than two months of wear,I sent my first two pair back to carhartt because of poor craftsmanship because they where getting holes in them around the back pockets due to substandard material and workmanship these jeans are made in mexico and are not worth the money, however carhartt does try to make it right if you call or e.mail them but this isnt the kind of quality you would expect from carhartt, the two new pairs of these jeans carhartt sent me at the beginning of 12/01/2007 are wearing out again and getting holes in the same spot, around the back pockets and the thread in the zipper is coming apart,"cheap" poorly made mexican product made with cheap material and workmanship.Ill be send these back to carhartt in the near future...dont buy these jeans youll be sorry...thank you.Greg

By: Mike S.
These have been great jeans - far superior to the Levis and other brands I wore previously. I use several Carhartt products but these are the jeans you'l find me in everyday. They're coniderably tougher and last much longer than typical jeans. They look great on me for a couple days, then tend to stretch out a bit more than I like. A quick wash and dry and they're ready to go again. They launder well. I don't use the dryer much on my jeans uless I want them to shrink. The pre-washed 15 oz fabric and relaxed fit works really well for me. They are comfortable to wear right off the shelf. They don't bind up when stepping into the pickup, climbing a ladder, stepping over a log etc. I wear them for work jeans and out on the town. They're also comfortable for driving in. I've noticed the leg fronts don't get thin and wear out quickly like my other jeans. I use them hard (firewood cutting, landscaping, home improvement projects, hunting, etc.) and they hold up really well. I replace them when they are too stained or when the cuffs are completely frayed. I've yet to put a hole in the knee of the 7 or so pairs I've been wearing. Pockets are large and strong - hold everything I need and never had a hole develop. Belt loops all still there after much use. If you need even tougher jeans, check out the double fronts. They wear like iron and are amazingly comfortable to work in. My only problem with these jeans has been sizing. I'm trying to find some now but my usual size doesn't fit anymore. Waist and crotch and thighs are too tight The next size up is way too big - don't know if I can shrink them to the right size. I'm 6' 210, and my size hasn't changed. Stil have several pairs in various states of wear that still fit me. Fabic and dye looks and feels a little different too. I'm afraid Carhartt chas changed the specs and makes me wonder if these are being produced offshore.
