Good things never last....

Rocky Boots military combat boots 101 S2V is probably the most comfortable pair boots out of the box that I've had in my Army career. Break-in time was nil. Although they did wear out fast. You know what they say about the wick that burns twice as bright burns half as long. True story. Rocky S2V's right here. They honestly didn't even last me a year. But to be fair, I used and abused these bad girls.
And they'll probably hold up 2 to 3 years with regular use. They are standard issue for Pararescue and Combat Control in the Air Force, after all. Which doesn't say much about the Air Force. But we can't all be manly men ;)
As far as regulations go, I took these to Air Assault School in 2006 and it wasn't a problem. Army rules, check if you're a different service.
Oh, and the soles aren't replaceable.
