I like these boots because they are good when I go fly fishing. Because they are water proof and they keep my feet warm. they also come up high enough so i can wade out farther and keep myself cleaner.

I drive a horse drawn carriage - I'm outside for 6-10 hours at a time. I needed a boot that was both waterproof and extremely warm in addition to being comfortable enough to stand around and repeatedly climb up and down from the driver's box. These boots fit the bill. I wear them with a pair of Wigwam liner socks and the Wigwam 40 Below socks and I never have cold toes.
A couple of minor drawbacks: you absolutely cannot wear these if temps are above 50, they're far too warm. Also, they're not the most attractive boot - they're fairly big and clunky. It took me a couple days to get used to them, but now that I am I absolutely love them.
So far mine have held up to being worn 5 days a week for up to 12 hours a day since it got cold. They've withstood rain, ice, snow, and most importantly getting stepped on by several very large draft horses and still look like they did the day I took them out of the box. I'd definitely recommend these to anyone that works outside in the cold/wet.

i live in maine so the winters are cold my son gave me a pair for christmas two years ago and i have to say they are the warmest and most comfortable boots i have ever had on.
