Not Bad for the money...
By: Larry D.
If you are looking for hickory stripe material this isn't it. It is not bad as a working cap, but the stripes are printed and not woven in. Fit is kind of snug, for example if you wear a 7 3/8 order a 7 1/2. Over all it is a good product for the price and being made in the U.S.A. is great. One other point to keep in mind is the crown height of the Kromers can be a little high for some people's liking, but it is a traditional welder/railroad/shop cap that traditionalists like myself enjoy.

A Real Letdown...
Ordered a couple of these caps. This was a design that at one time was only popular for engineers on New England railroads. Stormy Kromer would be very disappointed to find that his name was connected with a hat that uses cheap, dyed stripes instead of woven fabric pinstripes. Construction quality is adequate but visors are stiff cardboard. I like the fact that it is a "sized cap" not a cheap, "one size fits all" plastic or cloth tabs on the rear style, but in my opinion, if you are looking for a quality railroad cap, you would be better served with a pin-stripe cap from Roundhouse, also made in America.
