Good hiking boots...

I recently began hiking again and my older pair of cheap hiking boots just wasn't cutting it. These Merrell J50749 hiking bots are definitely a major upgrade from the generic $50 boots you can find at lower end stores.
They do seem to fit a bit larger than any of my other shoes or hiking boots, so if you are in between sizes I would definitely suggest sizing to the lower half size you are between. They do feel a bit large, but overall I feel for what they are they are very well made and will hold up for a long time. As a general rule for hiking shoes, I have heard that your toes should not be touching the front as this will cause issues when going down hills. Hope that helps!
