A must have for long road marches....

By far, the best boots out of the box I've had in my military career is the Rocky S2V's.
The standard issue Army boots are horrible to be worn outside Garrison in my opinion. Too heavy and just not very comfortable after a few hours of walking around, plus they take forever to break in. Unless you're a pogue who spends all day in S-1 pushing papers, I'd highly recommend these bad Rocky boots. S2V's got me through Air Assault School and made the final twelve-mile hump a breeze. Be forewarned though, while these boots are comfortable, they wear down fast. I think mine only lasted me 6 or 7 months, if that.
