I am on my second pair of these wellington boots. - The uppers are a nice and smooth Cordura, waterproof, with sturdy (stitched and riveted) grab cuffs to help pull them on. They are comfortably layered inside, but the cold or heat are not an issue inside so much. I guess because they breathe. The soles are waterproof, and seriously comfortable. I'm on my feet most of the day, and these Timberland Pro boots are very well padded inside with replaceable comfortable insoles (I saw them for $30), and the soles are an aggressive non-slip rubber as well. I kept my old ones polished and soaped. Later, I mink oiled them to preserve the leather waterproofing. I also ride my motorcycle with these boots, and I have a habit of dragging my shoes when I start up, and it wore the rubber thin quicker. After about a year and a few months, I stepped in a puddle, relying on the waterproofing, and I felt a little water seeping in through the bottom. From there on, they just got worse. Eventually, the heels wore out, and it was time for another pair. I had a pair of Wolverines before my old pair of Timberland PROs, and the soles just got hard and wore out, and hurt my feet. Even though my old PROs wore thin, they stayed comfortable to the end. The leather is durable. No rips or tears, seams are all good as well. I wish I could have gotten them resoled, but I don't think it's possible for a decent price! I like them so much, I got another pair.
