I wear these while working outdoors in Alaska. I get cold easly but with these on I never fell the cold. Plan on them shrinking slightly but the are the best. Well worth the money.

By: John Rogers
I'm a driller on an oil and gas drilling rig and work in the Texas panhandle. I bought a pair of the coveralls last winter and it has to be extremely cold before I even put them on. They are the warmest I've ever worn. Standing and operating a drilling rig is the coldest spot you can imagine and these keep me nice and toasty even in the coldest wind.

By: s. kloss
I wear these when it's really cold. -15 deg. in wind and on ATV while hunting with a polar fleece vest and heavy weight fleece underwear. I put camo coveralls on top. I am not even chilled. This type of garment (Extreme) is great, even if I get a bit sweated up.

I drive trucks and am around a lot of really cold weather. I ordered these Carhartt extreme coveralls last winter and they were great. They really kept me warm and I like how there is a pocket inside to keep my personal stuff. I know I am gonna be covered again this winter.

Never got the coveralls as this site seems to use bait and switch, taking all the info for your order, then asking you to call as it is temporarily out of stock, then canceling your order a few weeks later.

Impressed by quality of material and workmanship for a decent price.
Although materials are made in the USA, sadly the entire product is not !
Also, need to shorten by 2.00 In. (personal problem).

Nothing more durable when working in winter weather!...
By: Bored_22
I'v tried Key along with other brands but nothing seems to outlast my Carhartt coveralls. I could be working under my car in freezing temperatures and still keep warm. Its non restrictive which means I have full motion to get into the transmission and not be bothered by overly thick sleeves that restrict me from getting into tight places. Only thing I wish was that it was more oil resistant. Other than a few oil stains its a great way to go to beat the winter cold!

I ordered this item over three and a half years ago.I priced checked it today(with discount applied), and the price was the same as it was 3.5 years ago, no increase whatsoever...Wow !!! I live in Southern California and this item is Overkill big time for my area.I have an old LeManns snowmobile suit that I use for daily winter use, and the Carhartt Artic Extreme is 3X
warmer. If the X01brn(not as warm as Artic) was available in black I would purchase that for daily use. The build quality of this item is unsurpassed. The service and prices of WorkingPerson.com are also unsurpassed.

Carhartt coveralls...
By: MikeS
I have a pair of these for work and a pair for snowmobiling and they work excellent they keep me warm when I am working out in the cold wind and they keep me dry and warm on my snowmobile they are very rugged. I have caught the sleeves on brush and briars on woods trails and they have not got a single tear in them. I recommend these Carhartt coveralls for anyone who wants to keep warm and protected.

These things are a tank you slip over your boots!...
By: Jeremy
I bought these Carhartt Coveralls at the end of 2006 when I was working the grave yard shift at an airfield (no trees to block wind, no shelter, etc.) in Maryland and now in the Unitas in northern Utah...Despite crawling around on a concrete airfield for 8-12 hours for five years as well as under my truck in the driveway they look like I just bought em and its almost 2014.

They will keep you dry for a long while but definitely not water proof, only times I ever got wet in them were when the job required I lay down in the rain for a while. If you want durable, warm and dry buy them and don't think twice.

Only drawback I see to them now that I am on the farm again is that they don't come in women's sizes...my wife is jealous, but I am warm and dry!

warm...
By: Wendell
We ordered this for our oiler / greaser in our plant, he likes this very much, says that it is warm for the cold days of winter, they are very durable and have lasted a long time for him, he would like to reorder these in the furture if management would allow and pay for them for company work, if not plans on ordering again in the near future.

Warm and durable...
By: Silinskee
This is one of a few pairs I own, this I reserve for the harsh and cold environments. If you wear these in normal weather there is no doubt you will overheat. I can't imagine not having them in the closet for those special days where needed. But for an all around weight I would go a step down from the arctic insulation.

Carhartt amazing!...
By: Rudd
Last winter was a bit HARSH weather wise. After searching and searching for our old broken in coveralls, I gave in and started looking for a replacement. Lucky for me Working Person's is the go to place for all things working related and Carhartt is the go to company for coveralls. The coveralls are wonderful! Kept hubby warm all winter. The only complaint I had was finding the correct size. It was a bit of a headache. Thankfully the staff at WP's made it terribly easy and convenient:)

Perfect for Snowmobiling...
By: azcbpk9
These are a thick and heavy suit that keeps out all the cold and helps retain the body heat at the same time. I have worn these were winds have been -80 and still am able to function and operate without freezing. They will tear but it isn't flimsy enough to do it easily, but be careful it could happen.

If you need these, move South!...
By: rstevens
These look like something you would see on ice road truckers and way too thick to properly maneuver in. If you live in a place where you need these my best advice is move south to where its warm. I am sure they are of the best quality since they are Carhartt and will last many winters if you require an item to stay warm!

Study the sizes!...
By: Wayne Miner
I ordered a X06 Artic Extreme from another supplier and it was way too big! I researched the various internet suppliers and found the Working Persons Store. I could not be more happier with all the sizes they offered! Totally Satisfied. If this helps you I am 5' 10" @ 225Lb.Chest is a 47 so I went with a 50 Reg, Carhartt said, it was way too big .Go with the 48 short plenty of room cause you do not need many layers inside and you be scraping the ground. My inseam is 32,Hope this helps?

Astronomically great...
By: Poni
I'm into astronomy, and I was looking for something that would keep me comfortable for hours, on cold winter nights, in the low teens, while moving very little (no chance of warming up by producing extra body heat).
I did a quick test as soon as I got these coveralls: I stayed outside for half an hour one night when the temperature was 22 F. Pretty much just standing there. Since the temperature wasn't as low as my lowest target, I only put a cotton sweatshirt and pants under the coveralls to really put the coveralls to the test. Test passed! Insulation is good, and I didn't feel the warmth escaping from the wrists, ankles, and neck either. By the time I got back inside, I was starting to feel my upper back and shoulders getting cold, but not uncomfortably cold. With the addition of something like thermal underwear, I have no doubt that these coveralls will serve their intended purpose.
Things I didn't test, since they are not expected when I'm out looking at the night sky: water resistance and protection from strong wind.
Let's see, what else. The fit was fine, enough room for extra layers but not too baggy. I thought the torso was a bit too long, but when I raised my arms above my head I understood why. If you don't know what I mean, try. The material is super tough, and yet not too heavy or stiff. I see from another reviewer that the material can melt..., well, I'll be careful.
Oh, I also got the hood that is sold separately for these coveralls. It works well too.

they are the best!...
By: mrYukon
I use them for hunting and fishing can't beat them foe durability, and quality! I never get wet or cold. The knees are extra strong and are able to install knee pads in them! They are large enough to wear a insulated shirt and hoodie under them. I've used other brands but nothing compares to these CARHART EXTREMES. I got them in black

These is the best coverall I ever had...
By: diegoyeyo19
I bought this coverall around 5 years ago becouse I was living in CT and working in a car wash in winter time. These coverall keep me really warm. believe me you will be so warm that you will want take off after you start to work hard. It has strong zippers and deeper pockets. If you can get the hoddie will be better. I bought size M, and perfect for me. 5.6ft.

Super warm...
By: GuyinWy
I bought these to stay warm in the Wyoming winters. The insulation is second to none, and they stop the wind and typical water like no other. Rain and snow won't get through unless you have to work laying down in it for a while. They're not overly stiff like a lot of other coveralls, but fairly light and flexible considering the amount of warmth you get from them.

Can you be too warm... in February, in Cleveland Ohio?...
By: Mark Stone
Outside union stone work... if the wind chill is at 5 degrees F at 7am, and going to get warmer... better just put on the bibs and leave these hanging. Seriously, wind chill at minus 22, and I was comfortable.

fabric vs Cloth material...
By: Kim Klersy
If I had read what I bought .I would have never bought it. I wore my coverall for the first time operating my dozer and got into brush and it pulled the hot exhaust pipe off and landed on my leg and before I new it I got the pipe off the coveralls and they had melted.. now if I had the duck browns which are real fabric 100% cotton that would have never happened . it would have gotten hot but it wouldn't MELT! Guess I need fire resistant or the old style arctic wear duck brown.
