These boots are great once they are used or once the boots get adapted to your feet...
Read the entire review if you want to make a decision and buy these boots.
First day I put on these boots they gave me a very nice blisters on my heels on both feet, yes on both and the upper and medium sides on the inside of the boots caused me pretty much a very nice cuts on the sides of my shins on my legs, where pretty much the boot is in contact with your skin. Well I still don´t know what to do with this but I solve the problem that caused me blisters on my heels. What I did is i put gorilla tape down there where your heels go and then another piece on the upper sides of the boot and I am using double sock on my feet but of course I had to let my blisters being cured completely and then while the boots get adapted to my feet I am suing double sock and the gorilla tape, so, problem solved. This of course is temporarily because, as I wrote before, the boots have to pretty much adapt to your feet and your walking, so it takes time. The same happened to me when I bought the previous pair of boots I had, those gave me blisters on my heels too, but the problem of these Timberland boots is that you cannot use thin socks, you have to use some kind of heavy tick socks plus you have to use the socks all the way up to your almost knee so then the thread of the boots on the inside will not hurt your skin if you use smaller or lower socks in this case, but these boots will not supposed to be that way. they are supposed to be very very soft on the inside and that is the part Timberland did not took care of it, so that is why this hurt my skin, this is Timberland´s fault and not Working Person store because the boots shipped to me directly from Timberland, other than that, the boots are pretty good, very robust, very well constructed and it seems they can take a lot of heavy duty work; now if you want to preserve them form tears and normal use and abuse, I recommend use mink oil once or twice a week and also use neutral shoe polish. This will give your boot, in this case this will give the boot leather a better waterproofing, more than the boots suppose have it and will keep your boots nice and away from little scratches, water, dust and oil so your boots will become more durable in terms of leather life. About the insoles, they are very good and very comfortable, but if you need more comfort, I suggest you can buy a pair of insoles like the Dr Schools insoles for extra comfort if you are a person who has to be on your feet more than 6 or 7 hours or walking around on your job for more than that periods of time, but the insoles are pretty good pretty comfortable. Now about the out soles, they look and feel rough, heavy and that they can take anything, they are not made of rubber at all neither of a rough heavy duty rubber, they are made of something else and that was the part that is convenient for me because I walk a lot because of my kind of work and I have to be standing on my feet for more than 7 or 8 hours a day and other days for more than 10 hours and the boots are normally suffering a lot of friction during my working hours because of my type of work so I have to move from one place to another quickly and have to turn and stop and carry some weight and run and stop etc. so you can imagine, the out soles are in constant friction with the floor, even that at work the floor is vinyl but the friction kills the out soles. Until now, after almost 2 weeks of bought these boots, there is no sign of wearing on the out soles, just a little bit, so we will see later after 7 months what will happen with the out soles and the boots in general, because the one I had before those last long for a complete year and 3 months or so. so I am hoping these boots will resist that long and more, those are my expectations but I will update my post after a while to see what is the progress of these boots. By the way, the out soles they claim to be oil and slip resistant, they might be I did not test them yet on that field, but they are not ice slip resistant at all because when I was inside of the freezer and was some ice on the floor they kind of slip. Thank you for reading and hope this review will help
