Nice shoe polish!...
By: crappyusername
This Kiwi parade gloss really adds a good shine to shoes or work boots or what-have-you. And for a reasonable price to boot!(Heh.) I mean, for only five dollars, what's stopping you from trying it? God knows that I've spent more on coffee.

Wish they had this stuff around when I was in boot camp. Sure would have been a lot easier to keep the old boots shiny. Works good without a lot of elbow grease.

I'm getting a few cans of this polish for the guys. They can keep their work boots polished when they are on down time, or gloss up their dress shoes for funerals and parades. I've used it before and it's really good.

The only shoe polish you'll need to buy...
By: willryan042
Kiwi is the only shoe polish you'll ever need. Kiwi's been around for half a millenium (slight exaggeration), and their products have made quite a name for themselves. I bought a sort of "shoe polishing starter kit" decades ago with this polish, cloths, and a couple brushes. I continue to only use Kiwi shoe polish to this day. It's incredibly easy to use and apply, and it leaves a great shine for a longer time than other brands. I haven't used it on any of my work boots (don't really see why you'd shine work boots, honestly), but I use it on all of my dress shoes. Works great and looks great!

Relic of the past....
By: aflex
I love the Kiwi brand. Simply because it's sort of a relic of an older time. No one shines their own shoes any more. Not even soldiers. Not since we phased out to ACUs with rough out boots in '05. I had a pair of Corcorans, and a pair of jungle boots whose brand i can't recall right now. I could make these boots shine like glass in under 20 minutes.
I had a system down: Open the can of Kiwi, fill the lid about halfway with cold water. With an old t-shirt, take a small glob, smear it even on the boot. Take a lighter (or a heat gun if you're fancy), hold it under the boot about 5 inches away, and move the boot back and forth over the flame slowly until it melts. Then you take a cotton ball, wet it with the water from the lid and make small circles over the melted wax until the leather absorbs the wax. Repeat until you can see your own reflection.
