Best Workboot I Even Owned...
By: Captian HVAC
I purchased my first pair of these in the Fall of 1999 (different model number back then). I picked up a second pair in about 2002-3. These boots were by far the most comfortable and durable of a very extensive work boot daily rotation collection I own and use. I bet I have owned and worn over 25-30 different brands and models since also purchasing my first pair of these in 1999. That will be 17 years ago this year, mind you. No matter how hard you beat these, they will last approx 4-6 years with some minor leather care maintenance. They are way over built for their price point. I think that is why they are getting harder to find locally. The stores don't want you buying work boots that can easily last 4-6+ years with hard manual labor abuse. Maybe a white collar guy who likes to wear work boots, but not the guy actually doing it. They want to sell you inferior made in China boots that aren't Goodyear Welted with glued on soles that fall off in less than a year and aren't triple stitched seams that will blowout on you when you punish them hard. For my line of work, your footwear takes a serious beating. By nature, if it has a sole that isn't Goodyear Welted (stitched on) you can count on the sole falling off after getting them soaking wet a few dozen times. That could be a month or two, depending on weather and how often you wear them. The name "Fusion" didn't just fall out of thin air. NASA could land you on the moon before you can get that sole to come off. lol You'll wear out the upper long before it separates. If you keep mink oil or oil on the leather upper, you increase it's life expectancy as well. Someone more modest on their boots could get 10+ years out of these with little trouble. I can't say enough about these boots if you want the real deal and want something as comfy that is so ruggedly constructed. No need to wait for these to break in either. They are comfortable from the first time you put them on UNLIKE so many other work boots.

Thanks Wolverine!

I always picture that scene in Red Dawn 1983 when the kids ambushed the Russian Army from the mountainside and shouted "WOLVERINES" as they annihilated a whole Battalion. The Russians had no idea what a "WOLVERINE" even was until afterwards. It's a small/mid sized ferocious mammal that belongs to the weasel family that are tough as nails. A pound for pound champion aggressive animal. The nastiest pit bull you can think of would run away tail down between his legs yelping. They have been known to scare away a full grown BEAR and back him/her off.

WOLVERINES!!!

This boot has earned my respect...
By: The Engine
I have worn Wolverine Fusion boots for just the past 15 or 20 years. I replace them yearly only because of habit not for wear. These are tough enough and as comfortable as I have worn. The model number has changed and I can only find them in chocolate color. I buy a new pair as I start wearing a new pair just to have extra. My feet are well worth the price of these quality boots and yours are too.
