Thorogood Boots: Waterproof Insulated Postal Boots 834-6342

I work as a security officer in the coldest part of NJ. I am assigned to work outside under all conditions and typically in winter during mid January to the end of February the temps are mostly in the 20's to very low 30's during the day, and sometimes the temps do not even get out of the teens during the day. So far I have worn these boots with regular socks in outside temps in the low 20's and my feet never got a hint of coldness. These are quality made boots made in America. One thing be aware of: These are the ONLY 6" BLACK INSULATED BOOTS around, and I searched. Yes you can find 8" Black Insulated boots, but not 6". My job requires I wear BLACK SHOES OR BOOTS. One other thing that was my preference, I ordered my boots a half size larger to accomodate heavy socks if need be and to allow warm air to circulate in the boot. The B400 Thinsulate insulation is again quality material made here in America by 3M. Break in period is short, within 2 or 3 days of wearing these boots are broken in and ready to go. These boots will not disappoint.

I figured if they were made for postmen, I should really like them for my meter reading job. They have walked many miles with me and are very comfortable.

These Thorogood 834-6342 boots are truly made for walking--a lot of walking. Best by far.

I really like the Thorogood 834-6342 boots. They are very waterproof, and the insulated inner part keeps my feet warm, but not sweaty. Excellent boots.
