The best combination of size, weight, and function for EDC...

The Benchmade 557 SBKSN folding knife is small and light enough to be comfortable inside your pocket without using the clip. It cuts cardboard etc. extremely well and is very sturdy. I find the tanto blade shape very functional (as a wood chisel for example) and potentially for personal protection against dog attacks or whatever. The lock is the best. The only negatives are 1) it is not a beautiful art knife and 2) it does not have the very latest exotic steel.
