A review for Aquaseal leather and fbric stitch guard 8064419. After learning how to care for leather, I've been pretty fastidious about conditioning the leather in my shoes, boots, straps, etc, and I haven't experienced any failure in the leather itself. Before finding aquaseal, the number one cause of failure was fraying threads and seams. A friend tipped me off to Aquaseal leather and stitch guard, and I've been very satisfied. My one piece of advice: I highly recommend conditioning the leather very well before (and maybe after) applying the stitch guard, and to be as precise as possible in the application of the stitch guard. This product can darken unconditioned leather, which is undesirable to me. But, it's a great product and helps extend the life of the stitching in all of my boots and shoes. Once ounce goes a really long way, and is probably enough to treat all your boots several times. If you're going to invest in a nice footwear, it's important to invest the time protecting them and making them last.
