Very solid knife...

Excellent quality in this Benchmade McHenry & Williams folding knife, as to be expected from Benchmade. This knife was their first to feature the Axis locking mechanism, and is still one of the best. The D2 steel holds an excellent edge, and despite being at a Rockwell hardness of 60-62, resists chipping very well. The G10 on the handles isn't as "aggressive" as other G10 handles, and can become mildly slippery when wet; hasn't been an issue to me so far. The knife opens smooth as silk, and the locking mechanism provides no play at all once opened, in any direction. With a little practice, the blade can be opened almost as fast as an automatic. The recurve of the blade is great for draw cuts. A little on the larger side, but not intimidatingly large by any means. All in all, a solid knife I'll be using as much as possible.
