WOW!...
By: cullin
This is the best boot i've ever owned. I am a welder and whether it be out in the field or in the shop i know i can count on my Whites to keep me comfortable and be the best i can be on the job. I knew the second i put them on i would never wear a different pair of boots again (unless they are whites of course). I recommend them to anyone who wants to feel great the whole time they are working. I got the 8 inch steel toe Smokejumpers They are my best friend out on the job.

Great true 'Jump Boot'...
By: Dean
I do static line parachute training and jumps througout Europe on a quarterly basis as a Tactical Police (Special Operations) Trainer. Great ankle support and very comfortable boots for 12-18 hour days in all conditions.
My students (all Europeans) are always very envious and really have nothing over there to compare to Whites.
Have worn many other brands and styles over the years including some damned good Sportiva mountaineering boots - but the Whites Smokejumpers (Lace to Toe) are my go-to boots!

I am a carpenter building scaffolding in the very harsh environment of a blast furnace. I have worn non other White's since I first put on a pair 30 years ago. If I had to pick one thing to take to my grave it would be my White's boots.

Went into a rugged gear store looking for work heavy duty work boots. Saw a dad getting is son fitted for a pair of White's smoke jumper boots. Nice looking boots, but I've never worn a pair. After talking to the guys, I was encouraged to try on a pair of White's. Pulling them on and lacing them up...WOW! I knew right them, I needed a pair of these great boots. Have worn them every day for a couple of months, and I can't image why I never had a pair of White's before. My first pair was the standard 10" uppers, but recently purchased another pair with 18" uppers as I enjoy a taller boot.

I have been a "bargin" boot buyer my entire career as a firefighter. "Theyre just boots!" was my claim. Due to numerous recommendations by co-workers and a company allowance, I broke down and bought some "Whites". WHAT HAVE I BEEN THINKING ALL THESE YEARS? These will definetly be the only brand I will ever buy from now on. Worth every bit of the extra money.

By: Jack S.
When it comes to working in a brush fire or smoltering tree line, this smoke jumper boot is the best. This boot gives you just about everything you could hope for in the way of protection, great ankle support and comfort when your wearing for a stint of over 24 hours.

Every time I see a guy wearing a pair of White's Smoke jumpers (original style or lace to toe style) I make a point to tell him he's wearing the best work boots ever made. I've been wearing White's Smoke jumpers for over 40 years, and am please to report I've never had a complaint.
I was thrilled to be able to buy my sons and grandsons their first pair of White's. Even though some of them don't work in outdoor jobs, whenever we get together, it's a custom to all put on our White's.

My husband has the worse feet ever and is hard to fit. But with the Whites boots he gets the right fit and ordering from workingperson.com so much easier than where we use to get boots from. It makes us both happy, no hassles for me and a great boot for him.

Excellent but not waterproof...

These are my favorite field boots. I work in timber and have used these for years. Very comfortable, durable etc. but they are not even close to waterproof. I call them my dry boots cause when its really wet I got to reach for something with gortex.

White's boots are the best...
By: Robert
I've worn White's Smoke jumper boots for years. I recently visited the Spokane Boot Factory and got measured for a pair of 36 inch upper boots. The folks were very willing to fulfill my boot needs. When the boots were made, I got a call from Wnite's and went in for a fittiing. The folks at White's helped me pull on the crotch high boots and lace them up. They even took pictures of me and my bootsl]

dont get any better than these...
By: gavotter
Have lots of boots. Would have to say these boots get seriously trashed by me. Live in the mountains and trust these for anything. Only time I wear anything else is my ancient Wesco's that are spiked and 16" tall for logging. However if these were more customizable like Wesco then others that have spikes in them too.

First pair was a bit on the smaller for my foot that ranges from a 10.5 to 11.5 depending on the brand. Gave them to a mate and happily brought another a half size bigger in an e and whalla .. Perfect.

I guess if your also the sort to polish and display they would always look like new however I like my boots to look like boots should worn and loved.

Well worth the $$ . You will have one pair of these or 10 pairs of (made from imported parts in the USA) other brands.

I work at a logging mill northern Ca. and all my coworkers wear whites and have been telling me I need a pair. I have been a Red Wing man for years, but the pressure got me to order a pair and WOW, it is a custom fit. I still love my redwings, but for work, Whites from now on.

By: fairweatherbill
I bought my boots in 1989. Previously I had mostly worn department store boots that would be shot in about a year. I've resoled these twice and they are still comfortable, tough, and ready for work. How many other 25 year old boots can you say that about. Yeah, I recommend them.
