Carhartt Coats: Men's Black Cotton Duck Quilt-Lined Winter Coat C03 BLK

this is the warmest and the most rugged coat
i have had mine for over 10 years

I like the insulation in this Carhartt c03 winter coat. I work outside in the craziest weather and this coat keeps me warm and really helps me make it through the day. Not looking forward to winter, but at least I can handle it better with this Carhartt coat.

I just bought my second Carhartt coat of this style after my first one finally wore out to a point where I have to part of it - reluctantly! I had it for six years and wore it pretty much eight month out of each year in harsh weather conditions (cattle ranching in Wyoming).
It is a warm and very durable jacket, yet easy to clean (assisting calving cows can be a pretty messy job - especially at -10 degrees). Zipper never gave up on me. It warms your lower back nicely too but it is not too long to wear it on a saddle riding horses. A wide cut makes it easy to move in it without being too bulky (give it a few weeks, it's a bit stiff when you get it first). Big pockets and plenty of them to stuff with gloves and tools.
Only thing that wore out quickly were the Velcro closures but they didn't seem to be very important anyway. And I do have to admit: even the thick cotton duck wears through in spots that are bend or rubbed much. I started to put patches on after app. 2 years - I wished I could show you a picture of this coat now, after six years. I guess I am known as the "patchwork" when I wear this coat in public ... :-)
To finish this up - this coat is not a fashion statement but sure is great for what it is meant - keep you warm and comfortable without restricting your movements while working in the cold.

Good warm coat, but the zipper was always hard to operate, had to be in just the right position to work, it took much fumbling with it for it to go up, until it finally broke off after 2 years. I like Carhartt, will check zipper better next time

Excellent coat, very warm and comfortable. Well-made, I don't think that durability will be an issue like it has with other coats I've had. Shrunk slightly when first washed, and very stiff when new, but both of these are to be expected. This coat would be perfect with a two-way zipper and a set of cord locks on the waist drawstring adjustment.

This is a rugged coat. Great for rugged men who work hard.

I think this coat is the most solid one I have ever owned. It is perfect for what I do for work and havent been in a condition yet were I was'nt kept warm by it. Also thank you working persons store for the help on size and help in picking this coat for my type of lifestyle. I do alot of off shore work.
