This works fine under a hard hat too. It really keeps your head cool. I've got one for around the neck too, but my wife bought that somewhere else.

When you wet the crystals, it really truly stays cool for most of the work day. If it's really hot, I bring an extra one and keep it in my drink cooler. I cut the long ties shorter, but that's up to you.
