A good heavy sweatshirt...

When I shop for hoodies, I make sure to always check the weight of the fabric on the hood. Some brands make the body out of a durable enough fabric, and then skimp out with a thinner hood. This Dickies sweatshirt, like all Dickies products I've ever owned, has solid construction both throughout the body and hood. Plus, the stitching is solid and the zipper is durable. It fits a little on the baggy side, but if you're wearing layers underneath it's not that big of a deal. The black color seems colorfast. Would recommend.
