I hike over very rocky trails and have put on 1-2K miles at least. Soles are rigid and cannot feel the sharp rocks. The boots have been comfortable,eliable, and dry the entire distance. As I write this review, I am ordering a new pair for hiking and using my old ones for working. Maybe for me the stated size is about a half size too small??
