Amazing pants...

These tactical pants can put up with anything. I wear them when I go hiking, and the pockets are easily big enough for a map, compass, and phone. The material is super tough (similar to the fabric my tent is made from, actually) and the reinforced seat and knees are a godsend when you're trying to make it through heavy brush up a rocky cliff. I put my pants through some pretty serious beatings, but these have stood up to every test. I'm going to get a pair of these 5.11 tactical pants for my brother for his birthday because although he isn't a hiker, he works as a logger in Minnesota and he blows through even Carharrtt and Wrangler jeans in just a few months. These pants will last him way longer. I can't recommend them more highly.
