Thorogood Boots: Men's American Heritage Work Boots 814-4364

My last pair lasted over 4 years. This was the first boot I have been completely happy with. I am on concrete all day at work...then I would go home and do landscaping/wood cutting with the same boots on. I beat the hell out of them. Before I would go 1-1/2 years buying boots, and I was always dissapointed with them. These are the most comfortable and they breathe great. On top of everything else, they are made in the u.s. This is a no-brainer...

Redwing doesnt even compare to this boot. The most comfort you can find, Already broke in, good price, and good look. I like them for pouring concrete because of the comfort and its one of the only boots with a completely flat sole for walking on green concrete. Will not leave a mark! Wont buy anything else.

I have been wearing work boots since I was about 14 so that is allot of boots by now 40 + years later. I always wore Redwings and always bought 10.5 to 11 size even after I found out that my real shoe size was 9H. I never saw a shoe size like that in the store!!

But check it out Thorogood 9H!!! No problem. When Redwing went off shore I started this search and I am now on my 3rd pair of boots. I had the first pair re-soled once so maybe you could count it as my 4th pair! Anyway I am happyI Like
1. Made in the USA
2. Proper size even for an elephant size like mine!
3. the crepe vibram sole one used to only find on moc toe boots (which they make as well)
I plan to keep buying these and I have the number and size written down so I can make repeat orders easily.

I keep two pair on hand one for casual dress and one for work. When my nicer ones get scruffy looking they become my work boots.

Well I am very pleased with these boots. I have wore out many a boots in the last twenty five years, mostly sorry excuse Red Wings (I am 35). First and foremost- don't buy the crud we out source or work boots from over seas... your just helping to ruin a great boot company such as our own Thorogood, and I think they are bout all that's left! That being said (BUY USA) I have tried Georgia (in the garbage can) and many others on a whim, and don't waist your time, and most important money. Keep our people working with pride and try these boots...I did (Quality is ten fold). They are very worth the price- shoot, you price a pair of garbage Nikes made out of who knows what part of a cow lately? I am very proud of the fact that I want, wear, and need high quality footwear, as many long long days on my feet entails what I do for a living. My only gripe about these boots is they don't snug up around my ankle. The fit is very sloppy above the foot, I have laces as tight as possible, and no ankle support. I pride the brand Viberg more than any boot company out there- their boots REALLY fit your foot and ankle. Well they can't be beat, hand made, ten times thicker leather than anyone- 330$. Great deal for what you get, but I am buying one more pair of these thorogoods, at 115$ you can destroy them and not feel bad. That's my two cents worth- lasted me a year, can't be rebuilt, but its cost efficient to SH can them and I will buy another pair. Just for-warn the ankle fit is for neanderthals! But for a lot of my work I don't need all that support, and they just feel like tenny runners! I would honestlty like to contact Thorogood and tell them maybe to work on that, then I would say best dang deal in the universe, for now just the world...

I've already reviewed these boots, but left off one of the most important criteria. They are made in the USA (and at a reasonable price) and THAT means a lot.

I've been wearing Red Wing's but at half the price I thought I would try these. They are VERY comfortable, no break problems (it takes a month or so to break in my Red Wings). After wearing 4 or 5 times the stitching is starting to come unraveled at the bottom of the laces. the part of the boot just behind the laces (don't know what to call it, is a little short. It doesn't come all the way to the top like most boots.I wear these in the woods so they probably get more abuse than most boots.

Pros: great price, no break-in, (the price may be deceiving not sure how long these will last)

Cons: construction not as good a most other boots I've had. I think the stitching isn't strong enough. Leather is thinner than on Red Wings, no big deal yet (probably why there isn't any break in). I get a little more trash in my boots since the leather behind the laces doesn't come all the way up to the top of the boot.

After being a loyal Redwing wearer (22yrs.), I puchased these boots to try something different and I was AMAZED, the quality, comfort and fit
is outstanding. If you are on your feet for 10-12 hrs. a day these are the boots for you

Work in a factory like me? On your feet all day? Need a goo boot? This one is it.
I reccomend it big time.

Had these sent to Australia after looking at Redwings (available locally) but at over $400 there was no chance. I can't rave about these enough, light, fantastically well built and super comfortable. Will now get an insulated and waterproof pair for hunting. Awesome boot at an amazing price.

I have bought Thorogoods' for the last 10 years. I have never been disappointed. I used to by them locally, but the store finally went out of business after 40 years. I've tried them all, Redwing,Carhart, etc. and have always prided myself on buying

I have tried everything from Die hards (2 week break in) to Red Wings (turned all of my socks brown)These is the only boot you will ever need.Very well made,fit great and comfortable right out of the box.I buy 2 at a time and alternate,by doing this your boots will always be dry and last.

Great boots I use to wear Irish Setter made by red wings. these are much lighter and have a better fit at a beter price if you walk a lot this the boot you need

Received the boots in well packaged unit. Boot construction has all the great tenets of boot making, firm heel counters, excellent leather selection, solid hardware installation, and even stitching that is well spaced and obviously quality controlled. Did I mention the superb fit? Couldn't be better, and highly recommended!

I am a Union Ironworker out of local 21, Omaha, Ne. I love these boots foremost because they are union made. At a close second, because they are very comfortable and require virtually no break-in time. Phenomenal boots at a price you can't beat!

I have been wearing workboots since I was 7 years old. To say I have bought hundreds of pairs would be an understatement. These Thorogoods are THE BEST I have have ever owned!!! I wish my slippers were this comfortable!

These are a pair of very affordable and high quality boots that can be worn in both work and casual environments. The Thorogood boots are constructed very nicely, and as an added bonus are made in the USA. The boots however do not offer the best grip or traction so beware wearing these boots in the snow or rain. The boots look great as well and I get compliments on mine all the time. They run a little bigger than normal so I would recommend to order half a size or even a full size down. Great boots at a great price.
