The price and wedge sole attracted me. It looks great. everyone loves how it looks and its very comfortable. One miss is that I can stay in wet or damp conditions long time. Very strong boots. I'll keep buying them once they are around.

Light, comfortable, quality-made...

I can't say enough good things about these boots! They are so much lighter than my last steel-toes! That was the biggest surprise. Cooler on my feet here in the Carolinas too Also, although it's not the #1 priority, I don't like to work in an ugly boot, and these are classic and gorgeous. Fantastic oiled leather. Solid construction. Comfortable from the first moment. And I like that they are made in the USA. I read and also confirmed with customer service that Thorogoods run a half size larger than comparable brands. My last Hyventa were and 8.5, so I got an 8 with these (I'm actually a women's 10) and am thrilled with the fit.
Bottom line: I'm sold on these for life! Well done, Thorogood!

reason for white sole....

Love the white sole. No black marks or scuffs left during second fix carpentry.
It's not just a fashion thing, there is reason to the rhyme.

Great boots. No break in needed. Snug fit...

Great boots. No break in needed. Snug fit, might consider EE for a winter socks. Can be resoled by a Cobbler when soles wear out White or Black.... Would like to see a water-proof version in steel toe. Steel shank would be more supportive also. Made in USA!

Boot is very comfortable. I suggest getting the EE sizes since the MM and DD are too narrow. I work in the power plants and this boot is noticed everywhere I go. The only thing I do not like is the white wedge sole. Next time the boot should be made with a black wedge sole. Other than that, this is a cool looking boot.

great boot! i,m a oil gas worker in the cold environment of bass straight (Australia) this boot ticks all the box,s in regard to non slip/oil resistant/ drilling mud etc of offshore operations ,i was a 11 EE IN REDWINGS PECOS slip on boot to allow a wider foot size , same sizing in thorogood meant just a simple swap over , good support /comfort / dryness / as regulation now requires lace up boots and not pull on, I have no hesitation in recommending this model boot to mine or any other company will be buying a back up pair real soon ,

i use to be sold on redwing but...

i use to be sold on redwing but they quit making this style boot. 3 years ago i found this site and purchased the thorogood 804-4364 and they have been the right there with the redwings but half the price and no brake in time at all. now i just bought my 3rd pair and i will keep buying them untill they dont make them any more. you will not be disapointed.

Best boot I ever wore! No break-in, just comfort and support that does not change as you wear the boot. I got flat feet and these provide plenty of support all though my shift. Would like them to come in steel toe, water-proof, and insulated for winter.

This is a comfortable boot, but it needs to have a black wedge instead of the white. I work in power plants and I own two pairs of these. I have one 6inch and one 8inch. For the most part my feet stay dry, and the boot has attracted a lot of attention. I suggest getting the EE sizes since the MM and DD are a too narrow.
