Rothco Raincoats: 3749 Rubberized Nylon Reversible Rain Parka

A basic rain jacket is the perfect choice for running out into the backyard or dashing from house to car. This Rothco Navy and Yellow Reversible Rain Parka 3749 is designed to get you through downpours.

Stay dry in a navy and yellow raincoat made of rubberized nylon. A PVC inner lining ensures you're totally covered and thoroughly impervious to rain. An attached hood means that raindrops can't even make it down your neck. There's no opening at your neck for water travel through. Just throw up the hood and keep your head dry.

Even though you're totally covered, this jacket won't keep you totally warm. Underarm vents help cool you off and let you breathe. Unlike the rubber raincoat you had in second grade, this one won't stick to your skin.

Two flap pockets give you a place to stow your keys or keep your hands warm. They also give the jacket an attractive and classic look.

Basic doesn't have to be boring. When you choose a Rothco Navy and Yellow Reversible Rain Parka 3749, you'll look dashing while dashing through the rain. Order yours today.

Comfortable and long!...
By:
As a tall guy, it's rather difficult at times to find rain gear that provides water protection for not only my torso, but also my legs. This rain parka is long enough to get the job done, and it does it stylishly. The pop of yellow you see when the hood is down contrasts nicely with the navy color of the outer layer, and when the hood's up it's a sleek single color. The rubberized material is super water-repellent, and it conveniently resists stains and pesky odors as well. Plus, it's cut loose and it's easy to move around in. When you need full-body protection from the rain but aren't willing to walk around in something that looks like a spacesuit all day, you're going to want a rain parka like this one. Trust me.

Disappointed...
By:
The quality and build is not worth what I payed. I'm afraid that if the zipper catches, I'll rip the material. It's a little thicker than a disposable parka.

It is long, and has a decent, but oversized, hood.

Not worth it!...
By:
This coat is hard to zip up and the hood is way too big. I thought I would try this for the price, but I should have spent the extra money and got the better quality coat. It is no fun to be standing in the rain while trying to zip the coat up with no success. I have always loved everything I have purchased from the Working Person Store, so this was a let down.

Light-weight knee-length raincoat for occasional use...
By:
This raincoat is about knee-length. The zipper goes from hip to neck, allowing room for your legs to move freely. The yellow side is the rubbery-feeling side of the fabric, while the navy side feels like the plastic of some light-weight shower curtains. I wouldn't wear this coat while trekking through brambles and thorns, I'm afraid it would get torn. But, because the coat is of thin, light-weight material it is one you could fold up and pack away in a backpack to have on those days when it will rain but isn't raining yet. The snaps on the pockets and at the neck, as well as the front zipper, are rather cheap. That together with the thin material puts this raincoat in a category which I would consider good for the occasional need, but not for an everyday raincoat in a climate where a raincoat is frequently worn.

Why Choose Working Person? Let Our Customers Explain!

I wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the products and service I received from your company. I had a short notice request to travel from New Orleans to the Northwest Territories in Canada to inspect an offshore facility out on the sea ice north of the arctic circle. You can't get clothes suitable for that area in New Orleans at any time, and certainly not in April. I called your order line on a Saturday, and your ordering department spent quite a bit of time with me making recommendations and checking to see if the gear was in stock. He made sure that the order was packed for a Monday overnight shipment and I had my clothing by Tuesday afternoon. I left New Orleans on Wednesday morning. This was a very important project for our company and I want to thank you for your service. I also want to tell you that the great representative you had for your company. I've passed on your name to our organization for other folks that might have to make a trip up North. Here are a couple of pictures of me in Canada out on the offshore ice. It was -22 C (-8 F) with a pretty good wind (wind chill -32 C / -26 F). The clothes I got from you all kept me warm throughout the 7 hours I spent outside doing my inspection. In fact, as you can see, I didn't even need to zip my jacket. It was a sunny day, which helped. Finally, the gloves you see in the pictures are not the ones I ordered from you. Your gloves were fine, and I used them when I wasn't physically working, but the work I was doing required a leather glove for hand protection. I procured a pair of thinsulate leather work gloves in Inuvik that worked great and were a good balance between insulation, protection, and manual dexterity. I don't have them at work with me, but if you are interested I can look at the tag and send the brand information on to you.
