Terra Boots 8913 B Black Men's 8" Safety Boots are probably different from every other pair you own. Instead of cowhide or pigskin, these black boots are made with high-grade ballistic nylon.
The all-black, 8-inch design is tough against abrasions -- and everything else work will throw your way. Ballistic nylon is woven nylon that was used in bulletproof vests and body armor prior to Kevlar. In tests, ballistic nylon scored better against abrasions and wear than standard leather and nylon.
Inside, thin Gore-Tex membranes protect your feet from moisture. Gore-Tex is breathable but waterproof, so it will release heat but block water to keep you cool and dry. Duratherm lining, 200 gram weight, adds more water-resistance. The revolutionary material protects feet from moisture and from cold, serving as a warming insulation to protect your feet.
Polyurethane midsoles absorb shock and impact to promote all-day comfort. The Vibram rubber outsoles are attached to the uppers with direct-injection construction. Polyurethane bumper toes extend up over the design to prevent scuffs and keep your look sharp. Tested for electrical hazard resistance, the soles absorb up to 600 volts of harmful electricity.
A steel plate guards your feet against dangerous punctures. Steel toes protect against compression and impact, keeping you safe around falling objects.
