I recently purchased a pair of boots form your web site, I had been told by a friend that the boot size for Milwaukee boots ran the same as Harley boots. The boots I ordered were the wrong size for me and when I called to check on my order I was told the boots were on back order. When I finally received them they were too big. I have been an internet customer of many companies, but I have to say that my experience with The Working Person's Store has been the best I have ever encountered. About a month ago when I had a short time-frame to acquire some women's steel-toed boots, after numerous trips to many stores, I unfortunately found that such footwear is almost impossible to find, even in Metropolitan Washington/Baltimore. I was a little skeptical at first of your website, since I had never heard of it before, but you seemed to offer the widest selection and had all the brands and sizes to choose from in women's boots. With the short time-frame I had, I ordered 5 pairs, not knowing at all how the sizing ran or what the comfort of each would be. I called into your call center today and had the pleasure of speaking with Teresa. My order had been delayed by the manufacturer. I received a prompt e-mail from your company notifying me of the delay and giving me options. I initially just said okay, I will wait for the boots. Then I thought about calling in to see what my options could be. That is when I reached Teresa. She was very friendly on the phone and quick to assist. She helped me identify what boots would work for me and gave me options to get the boots faster than I thought. She even saved me a little money on comparable boots. I bought a pair of the waterproof, insulated, 12 in. Georgia Boots to wear in the massive underground (UMWA) Harris coal mine in Boone Co., West Virginia. As a union fireboss, I walk at least 5 miles a night 300+ feet underground through some of the worst conditions anywhere. After 27 years and at 4 different Eastern Coal Corp. mines, these are the best boots I've ever worn. Thanks for making my job more bearable and comfortable, as comfort is a hard thing to find in coal mining.
I want to express my praise and appreciation for the people in your organization that provided me with exceptional service today. First is a young lady in your Customer Service Dept. She is a very strong asset to your company as she is the first impression of the company for a customer. She did an excellent job in answering my concerns and helping me figure out the best way to handle the problem. Second, but not least, is another young lady in your return goods department. She is a breath of fresh air for a customer to deal with. She is heading up things so I get my replacement coat in time for my trip.

Being big, it's hard to find things that fit. I prefer American made products like the new balance shoes, and I thank you for offering American Made products. The Riggs jeans, Dickies shirts, and the new balance shoes I ordered today, all fit very well and I'm very pleased.
Note, I also ordered a Dickies jacket recently that did not fit around the waist (wasn't even close) and wasn't long enough to reach my belt line. Defect or incorrect size marking, I don't know, but we returned it, and ordered another brand jacket today.
Your service and return policy is the best and was very helpful, especially when I tried several types of work boots last year before you found me one that fit.

I just wanted to get back to you folks and tell you how pleased I was with the service (and respect) I recieved from the Customer Service Agent who took and placed my order. It is now the riding season and Engineer style MC's are becoming more and more difficult to come by. Your Customer Service Agent was patient and kind to me. She researched the actual boot itself and compaired it to another very similar model. She then researched warehouse inventory and availability, as well as investigating how the sizes worked for that particular boot manufacturer. What I forgot to talk about was the black suspenders from a much earlier order. My son has needed them and has been watching for days for them to arrive. He is a young plumber crawling around in tight dirty places, and with a belt, is having to ''pull up his britches all the time''. Plus, the belt is very uncomfortable. Thanks for the response. I wanted to let you know how thrilled we were to discover that someone actually carried pants in our 13 year olds size! He attends a school that requires navy uniform pants and he had outgrown anything we could find locally. Apparently a 29 X 34 isn't a very popular size ... LOL ... and given that he will still need the navy pants next year and has been growning at a rate of an inch every two months we decided to size up. You had that size also!

I wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the products and service I received from your company.
I had a short notice request to travel from New Orleans to the Northwest Territories in Canada to inspect an offshore facility out on the sea ice north of the arctic circle. You can't get clothes suitable for that area in New Orleans at any time, and certainly not in April. I called your order line on a Saturday, and your ordering department spent quite a bit of time with me making recommendations and checking to see if the gear was in stock. He made sure that the order was packed for a Monday overnight shipment and I had my clothing by Tuesday afternoon. I left New Orleans on Wednesday morning.
This was a very important project for our company and I want to thank you for your service. I also want to tell you that the great representative you had for your company. I've passed on your name to our organization for other folks that might have to make a trip up North.
Here are a couple of pictures of me in Canada out on the offshore ice. It was -22 C (-8 F) with a pretty good wind (wind chill -32 C / -26 F). The clothes I got from you all kept me warm throughout the 7 hours I spent outside doing my inspection. In fact, as you can see, I didn't even need to zip my jacket. It was a sunny day, which helped.
Finally, the gloves you see in the pictures are not the ones I ordered from you. Your gloves were fine, and I used them when I wasn't physically working, but the work I was doing required a leather glove for hand protection. I procured a pair of thinsulate leather work gloves in Inuvik that worked great and were a good balance between insulation, protection, and manual dexterity. I don't have them at work with me, but if you are interested I can look at the tag and send the brand information on to you.

I recently made a mistake when placing an order online with your store. I entered my office zip code instead of my residence, a common mistake of mine. I immediately emailed customer service and changed my online account to reflect the proper zip code. Unfortunately, customer service informed me (by email) that the order had already shipped prior to receiving the email. The email indicated that they would take the necessary action to correct the problem through UPS. To make a long story short, I have been shopping on-line for over 15 years and have had some great experiences, but this experience is one for the books.
I have never encountered an organization that has provided customer service such as The Working Persons Store. When customer service indicated they were taking care of the problem, from experience, I thought that to be the first, and only, email I would receive. To my surprise, I have received several emails keeping me up-to-date concerning my order, and what customer service is doing to rectify the problem that I caused.
I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have placed this order with your store. The Working Person?s Store will get the highest recommendation from me and my company. This Christmas my husband bought a Carhartt jacket for our 3 year old son that matched one that my husband has. When we were visiting friends and family, we walked into their house, and their dog jumped on my son and scared him. My son backed up quickly and fell down four stairs and landed backwards. Thank God for your jacket, because he was wearing it and it saved him from hurting his head! He landed on tile flooring, and he had his hood on, so he was saved from any head injuries. We all said thank God for the Carhartt jacket, it cushioned his fall.

I just want to say thank you for a great on-line shopping experience! My order was filled and shipped within 24 hours, arriving in perfect condition (on top of free shipping). When I called to make a slight change to my order (and confirm a few details), the customer service representative was very responsive and knowledgeable. I could not have asked for anything more.
I can not tell you how thrilled I am. I came home from work tonight and guess what was on my doorstep... yep, my new Danners. I have no idea how you and Danner pulled it off, but the box had stamped right on it, "MUST SHIP TODAY." I laced them up and I couldn't be more excited. Now, my hunting trip will work out.
If your job is anything like mine, I'm sure you get tons of emails and try not to read more than you have to, but I would like to take a second and tell you what happened.
I fell in love with Danner boots about seven years ago and have been attached to my Danner Canadians ever since. They're waterproof, warm, comfortable, and more than anything, indestructible. I had to move this summer with my job. I thought until this week that I knew exactly where my boots were, but when I started preparing for my trip I found out that they weren't where I thought. I searched high and low, but no boots. So, I decided that if I had to buy new boots, I was going to upgrade to the Trophy.
I tried at LEAST 20 places before I spoke to you (the nature of the Internet), and no one had them, nor could they guarantee me that I would have them by the end of the week.
I work for the second largest retailer in the US and I hope day in and day out that my folks take care of customers the way you took care of me. You didn't even know this story, but you went way beyond "website service" and made sure I had solutions. I was stressing to say the least, and I admit that I was concerned that you were making me a promise that you really couldn't control. Since you didn't have them in stock, Danner was on the hook and you were several states away. In the end, your promise of Friday delivery was exceeded by two days and, by my reckoning, from the time I spoke with you I received my boots from Portland to Charlotte in roughly 20 hours. That's CRAZY customer service.
If you give me the email address of your boss, I would be happy to send this to him or her on your behalf. Otherwise, please have a great weekend. I'll send anyone I know to your website.
