Thorogood Boots: Men's Steel Toe Rubber Insulated 807-6000 Kevlar Lined Fire Boots
Perhaps the name of these work boots sounds dramatic, but Hellfire is what it can feel like when you're in the middle of the dangerous chaos of fighting a fire. These Thorogood 807-6000 Kevlar-Lined Rubber Fire Boots are built to let you keep your mind on your work, rather than worrying about your footwear.
The body of this boot is made of vulcanized rubber (Quick Fact From The More Than You Wanted To Know Dept.: Charles Goodyear invented this process to make rubber more durable, had nothing to do with the famous company, and died in debt.), and lined with knit Kevlar, a fabric five times stronger than steel. Both of these layers are flame-resistant, and the Hellfire Thorogood boots meet the standards of the National Fire Protection Association.
When you're in a structure on fire, smoke can make visibility problematic, so you don't always know where you're stepping. These Kevlar boots have cushioned shin guards to minimize bone-jarring accidents and puncture-resisting steel midsoles to protect against jagged objects littering your environment. A tough steel shank gives you the extra support you need on uneven surfaces to decrease the chance of falling. You get even more protection, as these steel toe boots are rated for electrical hazards (open circuits up to 600 volts), and they're waterproof and blood-borne pathogen compliant. When a structure is breaking down, falling pipes, walls, etc. pose a danger to you; the steel toes in this footwear are nationally rated for both impact and compression protection.
This footwear is equipped with pull-up handles for quick response and reflective patches on the instep and heel. Therefore other fire fighters can see you better when you wear these safety toe boots. A polyurethane, knit-covered insole helps absorb foot shock, while the slip-resistant heat-resistant rubber outsole features large lugs to increase traction.
These Thorogood boots have plenty to offer, and with your kind of work environment, you could use a hand. As a fire fighter, you put your life on the line. It makes sense to protect it with the right gear, and Thorogood 807-6000 Kevlar-Lined Boots will stand up to whatever you face in the line of duty. Order your pair online today, you deserve it.

Bought them to wear during the winter. Feet stay warm and dry. Boots fits perfectly. I am a volunteer firefighter and I currently wear leather boots. May switch to this boot because it's much more comfortable and my feet stay drier.

Comfort and durability, unite!...
I work in maintenance and deal with lots of wet conditions that soak your feet if you do not have the right boot on. This boot is definitely the right boot. Not only are they durable and waterproof, they are also extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this boot to any who work in wet and rough conditions and need a solid, comfortable, and well constructed boot.
