If you are tired of lousy met guard hikers because they don't fit right or don't last long enough? Take a look at the Thorogood 804-4312 internal met guard with the patented I-Met internal metatarsal guard. This work hiker has a lot going for it in that it is comfortable and has extras to make it better equipped to withstand industrial conditions. The full grain leather uppers are protected around the toe area with a layer of rubber to help extend the life of the boot. The durable rubber outsoles are slip and oil resistant and feature a 90 degree heel which is an added safety benefit for anyone wearing these hikers when climbing equipment.
This Thorogood boot is also rated for Electrical Hazards, and meets the CAN/CSA-Z195 18,000 Volts Electric Shock Resistance Standard. Electrical Hazard Rated boots are tested by an independent lab and withstand applications of 14,400 volts (rms) at 60 Hz for one minute with leakage in excess of 3.0 milliamperes. These special boots and shoes can protect the wearer against open circuits up to 600 volts or less under dry conditions.
Comfort in this Men's Hiker comes from the Shock Zone insole, cushioning midsoles and flexible internal metatarsal guards. You get the benefit of hiker comfort with a generous steel toe box and an incredibly flexible internal met guard.
