It's the combination of smooth, high-shine leather and full-grain leather that create the sleek outer shell. Full-grain leather is left unprocessed, so nothing of its inherent resiliency or flexibility is lost. Lace-in, heavy-duty YKK zippers give you a hassle-free entrance into your boots.
Inside, comfort weave lining surrounds feet in soft, strong material. The poly-pillow footbeds, made with impact-resistant polyurethane, absorb foot strike and impact. The footbeds are made in a removable design, so you can clean and deodorize your boots. The insoles are also puncture-resistant to protect you from nails and other hazards. A layer of rubber in the midsoles adds shock-resistance, absorbing the impact caused by foot strike.
Non-metallic shanks, made with engineered composite material, lift and support feet to prevent muscle strain. Goodyear welt construction was used to attach the non-marking outsoles. Welt construction uses repairable stitching to secure soles in place, giving feet a flexible base to support steps. The heavy-duty, slip-resistant lug soles are resistant to corrosive oil, heat and slick surfaces.
Oblique steel toes (rated for ASTM F2415-05 M/I/75/C/75 protection) absorb impact and compression, safeguarding feet against falling objects and other dangers. These boots have also been tested to resist up to 18,000 volts of electric shock.
