Thorogood Boots: Men's Black 6 Inch 804-6711 USA-Made ESD Steel Toe Boots
You have a choice between sitting on a hard wooden bench and sitting on the ground, a choice that probably every park you've ever been to has given you. And you usually choose the bench because...well, who wants to sit on the hard ground? These Thorogood Men's 804-6711 Black 6-Inch USA-Made ESD Steel Toe Boots protect you from the hard ground, allowing you to step more softly instead.
The ankle-high, 6-inch design of these Thorogood boots is made with black, oil-tanned leather. Full-grain leather is made from whole hide. The leather is left natural, so you get to enjoy all the material's resiliency and water-repellent barriers. Full-grain stays soft and flexible, even when it's wet. Because the material of these steel toe boots is oil-tanned, it's even more resistant to stains and weather.
The inner lining is forest green, a color that creates stunning contrast against the rich, black leather of these safety toe boots. The Dri-Lex lining wicks moisture away from skin, gently drawing out sweat, so it won't sit against your feet. The ultimate SD footbeds are shock-absorbing polyurethane. Lightweight polyurethane absorbs stepping force to relieve pressure on your feet, legs, and joints. Remove these footbeds any time for quick, easy cleaning. Because they're static-dissipative, the footbeds of these American-Made boots won't absorb static energy that may harm electronics. The soles meet ASTM 2412-11 SD requirements.
See the green stripe near the bottom? That's not just there for looks; it's the rubber midsole layer. Shock-absorbing rubber helps you bounce back from every step you take while wearing these ESD boots. To make sure those steps are stable and cause you less strain, shanks have been integrated into the design. Lightweight engineered composite is non-metallic, but it’s still strong enough to support your arches.
Goodyear storm welt construction was used to attach the outsoles to the leather uppers, making the soles of these men's boots replaceable. The Goodyear Welt construction of these Thorogood boots creates a firm bond between the soles and the leather uppers. A welt, a thin strip of material, is placed between the uppers and the soles. This is all stitched together with waxed thread that creates a firm, weather-resistant bond. Ball to ball stitching on the outsole reinforces the design. The design was made in the USA, giving you a reliable, strong pair of steel toe boots.
The dual-density outsoles give you two layers of support. Polyurethane creates a lightweight, impact-absorbent foundation for each step you take. The 90-degree heels add a little bit of lift, but it’s not there to help you look good. This little heel gives you better grip on ladder rungs. Speaking of keeping you safer, the soles of these black boots are slip-resistant to keep you on track. For additional protection, these Thorogood boots were made with safety toes to keep you (your toes, at least!) safe from dangerous falling hazards. The steel toes of these safety to boots meet ASTM F2413-11 M I/75/C/75 safety standards for resistance to compression and impact.
Thorogood 804-6711 Men's Black 6-Inch USA-Made ESD Steel Toe Boots are flexible and comfortable, strong and protective. Trust us, we know you're working hard and not sitting on park benches all day.

Good Solid Boots - Comfortable & Roomy...
These boots are a high quality USA made product. Firm and Solid and Breathable. The size I need runs a little large. Plenty of room in the toes. I have worn these only a few days so they are not broke in yet. Looking forward to a long life.

Solid boots, last longer than others I've worn....
I'm a picker in a warehouse who primarily walks on concrete floors and metal grating -- typically I destroy a pair of boots in 2 to 3 months due to the grates, but these are still holding up relatively well. Break in period when walking around 15 miles a day was about a week, after which they're pretty comfortable.
These are static dissipative, so I don't have to wear a grounding heelstrap at work. Will buy again after my current pair wears out.
