I don't really like to wear big, clunky, heavy hiking boots unless it's mega rough terrain where a heavy, thick sole is necessary to protect my feet from wear and tear. I don't do much hiking like that anymore, though, so these Timberland shoes are perfect for the kinds of trips on go on these days. They pretty light, but tough, and they're well made for mass produced types of shoes. I'm sure I'll get quite a good bit of use out of these suckers before it's time for them to kick the proverbial bucket. Good times.
