To stay on your feet on the worksite takes two things (no, not your two legs)-traction and comfort. For guys who don't have the luxury of sitting down on the job, Timberland PRO offers Pit Boss Work Boots.
The comfort begins with 6-inch Nubuck full-grain uppers using the sturdiest type of leather, but specially brushed on the grain side to make it very soft. Inside is an astonishing new type of space-age Outlast sockliner, developed in conjunction with NASA for astronauts exposed to both bitter cold and scorching heat. This technology absorbs body heat in microcapsules called Thermocules, reducing moisture (since you won't have to sweat as much). This is the opposite of what traditional fabrics do, as they tend to trap heat. But here comes the incredible part: while continuously interacting with the microclimate around your foot and boot, this liner will release stored heat back to the body when it begins to chill or shiver, creating a "comfort zone" for your feet! It takes only 90 seconds for this stuff to adapt to the body, so you don't get either too hot or too cold. Temperature-wise, you won't even notice your boots!
The footbed is contoured for more comfort and support, and is removable. The sole is attached using extremely sturdy Goodyear Welt construction, where the outsole is wider than the boot providing excellent traction and the best lateral stability of all boots. The rubber sole is designed by Timberland to offer improved slip-resistance, abrasion-resistance and oil resistance. This means better traction on all surfaces.
For added protection against accidents, these 33046 Pit Boss Boots are rated for Electrical Standards, and can protect you against open circuits up to 600 volts or less under dry conditions.
